The evening classes of P.G.D.A.V. College started in the year 1958 and the main aim to introduce the same was to impart higher education to working students. It was until the year 1972 that the college functioned in a portion of the previously existing school. Later it was shifted to its own building in Nehru Nagar where it presently stands. The PGDAV campus has all the major facilities such as spacious classrooms, well-kept and sprawling lawns, playgrounds, a computer centre, computerized and well-stocked library. The college has facilities for sports, sports, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities throughout the year for the overall development of its students. Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic (PGDAV) College is one of the oldest institutes in Delhi. This college ranks amongst the top colleges in Delhi. It was founded in 1957 and is centrally located which makes the everyday commute easier for the students. The objective of the P.G.D.A.V. College (Evening) is not just to help its students academically but in their holistic development and to make them responsible citizens. The college firmly believes that the aim of education is to imbibe values leading to good character. Particular emphasis is laid on the moral and ethical growth of the students. PGDAV College Evening prefers keeping the student engaged in work and hence they offer National Cadets Corps, National Service Scheme, Hyperion Cultural Society, Satark Consumer Club and Spic Macay.
